Publication Frequency Policy

The journal Horizonte Sanitario is published quarterly by the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco. One volume is published annually, organized into three regular issues, with the aim of ensuring a constant, structured, and timely flow for the dissemination of research in Public Health Sciences and Health Administration.

Publication Schedule. Issues are organized according to the following periods and are published regularly during the first month of each cycle:

• Issue 1: January through April.
• Issue 2: May through August.
• Issue 3: September through December.

Special Issues and Thematic Editions. With the approval of the Editorial Board, the journal may publish special issues or thematic editions. These editions are intended to explore emerging topics in greater depth or to compile contributions from high-impact events, conferences, or scientific symposia. Articles submitted for any special edition must strictly adhere to the journal’s editorial guidelines and will be subject to the same rigorous double-blind peer review process applicable to regular issues.

Immediate Access and Availability. In strict accordance with our Open Access Policy, all articles included in each issue are published in full text, free of charge, and without any embargo period. The articles are available for reading, downloading, and distribution worldwide immediately upon publication of the corresponding issue.
